PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN-UP INSTRUCTIONS
We will continue to use Parent/Teacher Connect for scheduling conferences. Conferences will be held virtually on Thursday, April 1st and Tuesday, April 6th from 4:15pm – 8:15pm.
During the period of Monday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 27th between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm, you will be able to log into our school scheduling site and select a time to meet with your child’s teacher. Scheduling must be done during these days. The site will be blocked after that time. You will sign up for a 15-minute time slot. After scheduling your conference time, you will receive a link to join the video conference.
The Parent Teacher Connect program is supported on all current web browsers. Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Edge and Safari have all been tested on different platforms. If using a mobile device, you will need to load the appropriate app before your scheduled conference time. The apps are available free from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
To join the video conference, the parent can either click the button in the email message, or log into PT Connect, and click the button next to the scheduled conference. This will open a new window on your computer, laptop, tablet or phone. You must allow the video application to have access to your microphone and camera. Then you will either be connected with the teacher’s video or wait for the teacher to join the conference session.
Each video session is unique from the others. If there are multiple conferences set up, the parent will have to close that window and click the button for the conference with the next teacher. There is no chance a parent will accidentally join a conference between a teacher and another parent. Each video session is unique from all others and kept confidential within the Parent/Teacher Connect program.
More than one parent can join the video. For example, if one parent is traveling, they may join the meeting from a different location and device. The parent also has the ability to share the video link with your child’s other parent and/or guardian.
Prairie Hill’s Specials Teachers will be in the building on the evenings of conferences as well. If you would like to set up a conference with them, please click on the link below for each Specials Teacher.

If your child receives services through an IEP, the Classroom Teacher and Special Education Teacher will combine a conference on the same day and at the same time.
If your student is an ELL student, please schedule the conference with Mrs. Miner or Ms. Johnson. Parents will not need to sign up with the link if they have already talked with Mrs. Miner or Ms. Johnson.
Here are the instructions to sign-up for your child’s conference:

2.LOGIN:
Enter the student’s first name and last name and then the student’s password.
3.FOLLOW THE PROMPTS:
Click the button next to the class to schedule or change an appointment. Click on the circle next to the time you would like for your conference. A red X indicates a timeslot that is not available. After choosing your time, press “Schedule Time” at the bottom of the page (scroll down to see this). You will then see a confirmation of your time scheduled.
4.ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS:
Be sure to enter YOUR email address to receive a reminder of your appointment.
